Hawaiian Airlines Rebrand
With this rebrand, Hawaiian Airlines establishes itself as a destination carrier that elevates leisure travel to an experience of sophistication, hospitality, premium quality and fun. To reflect this transformation and clarity of vision, the airlines shortens its name and condenses its logo into a simple wordmark.

“I worked with Sensei Peter James to rebrand the Japanese Sword School of WA, which needed a fresh visual identity to attract both tertiary students and middle-aged business Professionals. My solution involved integrating elements of refined combat with Zen-like balance and precision, producing an engaging and interactive brand identity.”
As a child, I can recall three career paths I was interested in. The first and perhaps most naive was a lawyer, the second was a doctor and finally, an artist. The latter was somewhat of a naive choice too, however that was my intended path for many years. When I was twelve, a teacher told me I should look into graphic design because I could be creative and not be poor. He was a nice guy. Now I’m finding that somehow the three career paths I had once considered have merged into one. I defend and rationalize ideas, diagnose and solve design briefs and on top of it all, implore myself to be as creative as possible throughout the whole process.
